HAPPENING AT THE WALKING FISH:

HAPPENING AT THE WALKING FISH:

B. Someday Productions is proud announce its 2010-11 season's roster of new plays and performances for all different ages and likes at its home, the Walking Fish Theatre in Philadelphia's Fishtown section.

In December 2010, B. Someday will produce "A Fractured Christmas Carol," featuring two professional actors and two young actors in a madcap, slapdash romp around one of our favorite holiday stories, with plenty of local and cultural references; improvisational fun; audience interaction and fast-paced action! The holiday show, directed by Michelle Pauls, features professional actor Johnny Smith and a local young actor/writer, Emma O’Neill-Dietel, 11.

In May, 2011, Mistaken Charity, a new absurd comedy written and directed by Stan Heleva, based on the writings of Mary Wilkins Freeman, will premiere. "Mistaken Charity" tells the tale of two elderly impoverished and handicapped women forced from the family farm by well-meaning neighbors. Ensconced at a "Home for Elderly Ladies", they are miserable, and escape to attempt a journey back home. The performance will feature Pauls as one of the leads.

B.Someday this coming season will also to continue to offer the co-productions audiences have come to enjoy, including "High Drama Sketch Comedy;" "Revival Burlesque;" a New Play Reading Series; and Humpday Hootenanny.

Also returning is "Of Mythic Proportions," a storytelling performance program for high school students from Mariana Bracetti Academy in Kensington. This year, "Of Mythic Proportions" was honored with a Barrymore nomination for Excellence in Theatre Education and Community Service. This is the second nomination for B. Someday.
